Description:
The classic card game is played with two decks of cards. To begin, an indicator card is dealt face up, followed by the building of four foundation piles. Each foundation pile is built up from cards of the same suit, starting one rank above the indicator and wrapping around to Ace if necessary.
In addition, four more foundation piles are built down from cards of the same suit, starting one rank below the indicator and also wrapping around to King if necessary. The stock cards are dealt individually to the waste pile.
A key feature of the game is the ability to move a card with the same rank as the indicator directly onto the indicator pile. Cards can be moved from the waste pile to either the foundation piles or one of the four tableau piles, with each move allowing only one card at a time. When all stock cards have been dealt, players can collect the remaining waste cards and attempt to make additional moves.
The game offers an extra layer of strategy, as players can move cards between foundation piles, giving them a slightly better chance of winning. As more cards are moved to the foundation piles, players' ranks increase. The goal is to clear all the cards from the tableau and waste piles, ultimately reaching the highest rank possible.
